RING v4.2 Update: Improved Accuracy, Smarter Imports, and a More Intuitive Workflow

𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝘃𝟰.𝟮 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 delivering improved accuracy, smarter imports, and a more intuitive workflow.

This maintenance release introduces refinements that make modelling smoother and results clearer. Complex geometries such as tunnel shaped forms now behave more consistently when adjusting backing, and DXF imports handle edges and blocks with greater reliability.

Workflows have also been streamlined. Selection modes are more intuitive, vehicle positioning and scenario handling are more predictable, and DXF import and export routines now produce cleaner geometry.

We have also added several helpful enhancements. These include clearer solution status explanations in the User Manual, thrust indicators for skewbacks, diagnostic headings that match your info/warning/error colour scheme, and imparted rotations displayed in degrees.
