Important, graphics driver issue
Following a recent (2025) Windows update, some users with integrated graphics, particularly laptops using Intel Iris Xe or UHD graphics, may experience an “unexpected error” followed by the application closing after loading a file or completing a wizard. This issue has been linked to Intel® Corporation Driver Update 32.0.101.7077.
Installing the newer Intel® Graphics Driver 32.0.101.7082 will usually resolve the problem. However, this update is not currently offered automatically through Windows Update and must be installed manually from Intel. As an alternative workaround, installing our software with the “Use software rendering” option enabled should also prevent this issue from occurring.
Notes
The LimitState:RING MacOS Beta version is supplied with the following known issues:
Command line calls must be made from the folder containing the .RING source file(s).
Flexible (USB dongle) licenses are not supported.
Academic licensing over WiFi must be undertaken with MAC randomization disabled.
