In the paper LimitState:GEO is used to predict the bearing capacity of footings adjacent to cohesive / frictional slopes, with results compared with traditional methods. It is concluded that the software provides an "efficient and rigorous method for determining the ultimate bearing capacity for spread footings placed adjacent to slopes".
