LimitState are pleased to announce the release of Peregrine v6. Introducing a number of new features for layout optimization of large-scale structures, this major new edition of our plug-in for the Rhino3D/Grasshopper modelling environment is more powerful than ever.

New Modelling Components for Large Structures

  • Enhanced self-weight modelling - Define the way in which members carry self-weight.; consider catenaries and beams in the same domain.

  • Beam grillage optimization - Determine the optimum I-Beam grillage layout required to carry a designated surface load. Optimize entire buildings, containing grillages, columns and trusses.

  • Load and support mirroring - Find the optimum symmetrical structure and Increase computational efficiency using a mirror plane.

  • Structural stabilization - Ensure solutions aren't in a state of unstable equilibrium.

  • Enhanced design domains - Combine 1D, 2D and 3D domains in the same model. Assign CHS and I-beam cross-section types.
