Update on recent technical sessions on Modern Limit Analysis Methods

Thanks to all of you who attended our series of technical sessions, held recently in Manchester, London and Edinburgh. Thanks especially to the attendees who travelled a considerable distance, for example from Ireland and France.

The sessions showed how to apply proven limit analysis methods togeotechnical constructions, masonry arch bridges and reinforced concrete slabs. Reaction from attendees who were new to LimitState software was especially positive, with some discovering for the first time how powerful automated limit analysis tools are compared to traditional methods.

“Clearly there is great interest among engineers in modern limit analysis methods”, commented LimitState Managing Director Matthew Gilbert. “They can prove immensely useful to engineers working for consultancies, contractors and in public and private sector organisations. It’s been great to meet so many engineers at these sessions, and to discuss with them the specific problems they face on a day-to-day basis.”

We aim to run more technical sessions in 2016. If you would like us to contact you when these are scheduled, please email events@limitstate.com.
