The user-friendly interface allows technically complex models to be created and developed with ease. A typical analysis of the collapse mechanism only takes 10 – 30 seconds. The graphical results act as a powerful communication tool.
The insight that LimitState:GEO gave into the mechanics of failure allowed us to efficiently tailor engineering solutions for a wide variety of problems. The online validation resource gave confidence, and also inspiration for novel applications of the software. The software can be easily setup for specific design codes, and I found its implementation of Eurocode 7 to be well thought out.

At Fugro Engineers SA, we have recently been using LimitState:GEO to analyse punch-through failure of foundations on sand over clay under combined (V, H, M) loading, a case for which we found FE analysis can lead to some uncertainty.
In summary I think LimitState:GEO is an excellent product and a very useful addition to the armoury of geotechnical engineers wishing to analyze the collapse limit state.
